Once I found a waterfall
And in the waters below
Was a beautiful yellow leaf
It was swirling in the waves, going with the flow
Never had I, such a beauty seen.
So I took it home
And kept it safe and sound-
Away from the howling winds and the sun,
Away from wide skies and rough grounds,
But its beauty faded away, it turned brown.
Henceforth, never once did I,
Try to tame a wild thing again,
Including my soul.
