Ever wondered that how is our indian society?
Maybe we have done it. But, I don't think so that we have ACTUALLY done it.
Have you, like, ever thought that, why do men in rural areas and also few in urban areas, hit their wives or any other female member in their family?
Maybe some of you did, and some of you didn't.
So, here is my point of view:
Men wants to keep their life partner under their toes, so that, they can be called a 'MAN' in the society. And, do you know how do they prove it? They prove it by, hitting them, abusing them, locking them away in their homes. Why? Just because she isn't listening to you? She doesn't wanna have kids? She wants to be INDEPENDENT?
Little do they know, hitting women makes them look weaker, instead of making them look stronger. Why? You ask? Because, it is the ONLY way that they can make themselves look like a MACHO MAN. If they had even a bit of sense in them, they will not be someone's hand controlling robots, doing what the society tells them to do. They should make their wife's feel safe, secure, healthy. Make them feel that they can trust their husband's with anything, rather than being afraid of them.
Millions of women get pregnant due to pressure of society. Like , not a year into the marriage and the family members are already asking for a baby. I am not telling here that they don't want to have a baby at all, I am saying that, it's a woman's choice whether or not to have a baby immediately or not and getting pregnant due to pressure can affect the baby's health as the mother goes into depression. Worst to worst case, it can lead to miscarriage. And if that happens, then again, the family blames it on the woman. They don't even realise that, all which has happened, was due to their pressure, their status, their MISTAKE.
Ah, one more thing which I have absolutely forgotten!
In today's world, people in villages still demand for a baby boy. They think that 'ghar mein ladka peda hua toh it's a good luck' or something like that. NO. ABSOLUTELY NO. After birth, if a girl child is born, they blame the mother. They think that it is in the mother's hand to give birth to a boy or a girl. NO. It's in the hands of a man.
If the girl is born, they will kill her. They won't even think TWICE before even actually doing it. And, honestly, it's just sad. Sad because, humanity is cruel.
I mean, what is even the problem if God has blessed you with a sweet girl child? What is it?
Like, in many northern states of India, this 'thing' still continues to be followed. And they think it's completely OKAY to do so. But due to this, sex ratio is completely disappointing.
And, honestly, till this date, no one has the answer, as to why they do this stuff.
And, unfortunately, the list goes on and on.
Our indian society keeps on blaming girls for the 'little' things as well. Like, 'uska rape isliye hua kyonki she wasn't wearing proper clothes'. Ma'am, even if the girl is wearing hoodies and pyjamas, she would still get raped. We shouldn't change the closet of a woman, it's the mentality of the boys/ men that WE should CHANGE.
Blaming girls/ women won't get us anywhere. But changing someone's opinion might get you somewhere.
Preach.
