Life is unfair. It takes away the people you come to love and trust the most. It reminds you that you can't hold on to anything for too long; you have to leave the strings that bind you to the object.
Speaking about that I recently read 'The Fault in our Stars' and saw a few points I would like to highlight and explain it from my point of view.
The first thing I would like to point out is the fact that throughout the book, Hazel refers to herself as a grenade. She thinks that anybody getting emotionally close to her will be in pain when she dies. My first point on this, ' Aren't we all grenades?' Even we the healthy humans are grenades. Worse.....we are an acid leak which casually leaks on an everyday basis eventually bursting. We unknowingly cause misery to our near and dear ones everyday in different ways eventually leading to our death causing them the biggest misery. But all this does not mean that we distance ourselves from the main requirement of human life.....socialism. We can't distance ourselves from others. The farther we get the closer they will come. If distancing was the solution to cause less or no harm to people then the world would not have a population of 7 billion+.
The next point I would state is Hazel believing that she and all other physically and mentally impaired people are "side effects of the relentless mutation that made the diversity of life on earth possible." What does this mean? According to me this would mean that Hazel is trying to call all kids with disabilities a faulty piece in a factory which turns out am I a good quality products(healthy humans). I am against this as I think that God; whether known in a form or as a mere consciousness will not do something this vicious you just create a bunch of impaired people just for the greater good of the society, would he? And even if he did, wouldn't this idea 20 similar to Grindelwald's idea of a greater good in Harry Potter? I don't think all the good people of the world would be happy with a greater good which involves killing others. And if you really wanted a greater good why will be put the lives of a few people on the line? I would rather say that impaired handicapped people are just God's way of giving man another chance to improve and create new vaccinations for all diseases height increases knowledge in this field. Also God make this gives more intellectually awake and a Chance At love before they die. I agree that there may be more negatives to their lives then positives but if you look at the bright side then you can live even the smallest life to the fullest.😉😉
